  • Building and Zoning Planning

    The building and zoning administrator interprets and enforces the zoning ordinance, the subdivision control ordinance, the unsafe structure ordinance and the rental property registration ordinance. The administrator reviews building and site plans before a building permit is issued, reviews subdivision applications and plats, and provides technical support to the Board of Zoning Appeals and the Plan Commission. All inspections are conducted by the Bartholomew County Department of Technical Code via contract. Office at 404 Jackson Street, Hope, IN 47246.

  • Clerk-Treasurer Clerk

    The clerk-treasurer, a four year elected official, serves as the keeper of the municipality's official public records and is the Chief Financial Officer for the Town of Hope. Duties include managing the town's financial accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll; the clerk-treasurer compiles the town's comprehensive annual financial report and prepares the annual budget.   • Hope Police Department Police

    Town of Hope police department at 711 Harrison St., Hope, Indiana 47246, led by the Town Marshal. For emergencies dial 911. The department is involved in community activities throughout the year, including coat, toy and food drives.

  • Hope Town Utilities Utilities

    Provides water services for the Town of Hope from 529 Mill Street, Hope, IN 47246, and publishes the annual water quality report (CCR). Electrical service in Hope is provided by Duke Energy, not the town.

  • Town Manager Administration

    Office of the Town Manager of the Town of Hope, located at Town Hall, 404 Jackson Street. Town Hall hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday; if the Clerk-Treasurer and Town Manager are unavailable, visitors are directed to the Police Department next door.
