• Building Department Planning

  Performs plan review, permitting and field inspections for building, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, manufactured home/RV and street excavation work, and investigates substandard structures. Located at 90 West Fourth Street; Building Inspector office hours Monday-Friday 8:00-9:30 AM and 3:30-5:00 PM.

• City Attorney Legal

  Legal adviser to the Mayor, City Council and all city officers and departments; appointed by the Mayor with Council consent. City criminal prosecution is provided by the District Attorney's office acting as City Prosecutor.

• City Clerk & Treasurer Clerk

  Maintains City Council and departmental records (NRS 266.480), oversees financial records, budgeting and audits, issues business, liquor and gaming licenses, handles utility billing inquiries and payments, cemetery plots, golf fees and recreation scheduling, and runs City elections with the Humboldt County Clerk. Open Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at 90 W 4th St.

• City Manager Administration

  The City Manager is the chief administrator of the City of Winnemucca, appointed by the City Council to an indefinite term, overseeing administrative functions and implementing Council policy. The current City Manager also serves as City Engineer. City Hall, 90 W 4th St.

  Winnemucca Municipal Court, listed on the City staff directory with the Municipal Court Judge (contact via the Humboldt County justice court).

• Parks and Recreation Parks & Recreation

  Manages city parks (Highland, Pioneer, Vesco, Riverview, Winnemucca Sports Complex and dog park, Recreation Complex), the splash pad, pickleball court and the Bode Howard Memorial Pool at 380 E Haskell Street. Managed directly by the City's Recreation Director since July 1, 2021.

• Public Works Department Public Works

  Manages sewer and water services, streets (including snow removal), cemeteries, parks, golf course and building maintenance. Publishes the Public Works Standards Manual and fee schedule.

• Volunteer Fire Department Fire

  City of Winnemucca Volunteer Fire Department of about 25 volunteers, operating from the fire station built in 2015 at 1078 E. Winnemucca Boulevard, with a 77-foot aerial ladder truck.

• Water & Sewer Department Utilities

  City water and sewer utility located at City Hall, 90 West Fourth Street, open Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Billing cycle closes on the 15th; payment due by the 5th of the following month. After-hours emergency line (775) 623-6429. Publishes annual Consumer Confidence Reports.

• Winnemucca Municipal Golf Course Parks & Recreation

  Public 9-hole municipal golf course and clubhouse at 1395 Mizpah Street, open seven days a week 7 am-8 pm. Memberships are sold at City Hall.
