  Village of Stillwater Department of Code Enforcement, on the Zoning and Code Enforcement page, which publishes the Village Form-Based Code (amended 2020), the Stillwater building permit requirements and the Vacant Building Law of 2016. • Department of Public Works Public Works

  Village Department of Public Works (DPW), on the Public Works/Water Departments page. The DPW Garage is at 2 American Legion Road, off Lake Street. The crew of four people, including a working supervisor, maintains and repairs the storm and sanitary sewers and potable water system, including the storage tanks, and maintains the roads and appearance of the village, including playgrounds, tennis and basketball courts and the water splash park.

• Office of the Village Clerk/Treasurer Clerk

  Village Clerk/Treasurer's office at Village Hall, 662 Hudson Ave., Stillwater, NY 12170. Regular office hours Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with different summer hours. The Clerk/Treasurer is the village's public relations officer, recording secretary, records management officer, records access officer, licensing officer, election officer, cash control officer and Registrar of Vital Statistics.

• Stillwater Fire Department Fire

  Stillwater Fire Department, including the Newland-Wood Fire Company, protecting the residents of the Village of Stillwater since 1865. Firehouse at 1 School Street (P.O. Box 411), Stillwater, NY 12170. Emergency: 911; non-emergency phone (518) 664-3617. The department seeks volunteers; it meets the first Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. and drills every Wednesday at 7 p.m.

• Village Historian's Office

  The purpose of the office of Historian is to collect, preserve and interpret Stillwater's documentary heritage and manage historical records for the public. Mailing address P.O. Box 507, Stillwater, NY 12170. The office's collection includes local history, newspapers, census records, veterans files, photographs, maps, cemetery surveys and genealogy files.
