Departments

• City Clerk's Office Clerk

  Office of the City Clerk, the information source for all legislative actions of the City of Oak Ridge.
• City Manager's Office

  Office of the City Manager, chief administrative office of the City of Oak Ridge (council-manager government). Supervises all departments and prepares the budget.
• Community Development

  Community Development / Planning & Development Department, handling planning, zoning, and building for the City of Oak Ridge.
• Finance Department Finance

  Finance Department, responsible for City-wide accounting and financial functions.
• Fire Department Fire

  Oak Ridge Fire Department, protecting life and property against fire and other emergencies.
• Oak Ridge Public Library Library

  Oak Ridge Public Library.
• Police Department Police

  Oak Ridge Police Department, providing law enforcement services. Originally formed as a military police unit in 1942 for the Manhattan Project.
• Public Works Department Public Works

  Public Works Department, maintaining city streets, water and wastewater treatment plants, distribution/collection systems, buildings, and fleet.
• Recreation & Parks Department

  Recreation & Parks Department, maintaining trails, greenways, parks, playgrounds, Centennial Golf Course, and the Civic Center.
