• Planning & Zoning Division Planning

  Provides staff support to the Planning and Zoning Commission, the Board of Adjustments, and the Board of Aldermen. Listed responsibilities include implementing and administering the UDO Code; preparing and maintaining the Comprehensive Plan, Zoning Map and Future Land Use Map; enforcing codes for building, proposed new development and property maintenance; and rezoning, preliminary plat, final plat, site plan, conditional use permit and variance applications. • Public Works, Sewer & Street Departments Public Works

  The Sewer Department is responsible for the repair and maintenance of the City's sanitary sewer system and grinder pumps, including sewer mains, lift stations and City-owned grinder pumps, and handles sewer plant collection and treatment as well as sewer billing and collection. The Street Department is responsible for the repair and maintenance of the City's street and storm sewer collection infrastructure, including asphalt and concrete, City owned signage and traffic signals, snow removal, storm water collection systems and ground maintenance. 24 hour sewer emergency hot line: 1-800-846-5508.
