• Animal Control Animal Services

  Village animal control enforces laws and ordinances related to animal care, treatment and licensing, responds to complaints, investigates animal cruelty, and manages stray, sick, injured or unwanted animals.

• Code Enforcement Office Planning

  The Hoosick Falls Office of Code Enforcement is responsible for the prevention, detection, investigation and enforcement of violations of statutes or ordinances regulating public health, safety and welfare, building standards and land use. Handles building permits and rental unit inspections (all rental units must be inspected and given a Certificate of Occupancy before new tenants move in). Municipal Building, 24 Main Street.

• Solid Waste Department Utilities

  Runs the Village Transfer Station on Walnut Street. Hours: Apr 1 - Nov 30, Tues. 8am-noon and Sat. 8am-2pm; Dec 1 - Mar 31, Sat. 8am-2pm. Fees are based on items in load and load size; cash is not accepted, payment by debit or credit card only.

• Village Clerk's Office Clerk

  Manages official records, oversees elections, and acts as a liaison between the public and village government. The Village Clerk takes minutes at Village board meetings, publishes notices of public hearings, maintains records of Village laws, ordinances and contracts, is the receiver of taxes, issues birth and death records for the Village, and is the Freedom of Information Officer. • Village Court Courts

  Village Court of Hoosick Falls, a trial court with limited jurisdiction handling criminal and civil matters. Court dates: 2nd and 3rd Thursday of each month, 6:30 pm. Office hours every Tuesday 8am-noon. Municipal Building, 24 Main Street.

• Village Police Department Police

  Hoosick Falls Village Police Department, Municipal Building, 24 Main Street. Emergencies: dial 911. In non-emergency situations dial the police; if the desk officer is on patrol the call rolls over to 911 and County Dispatch forwards the request to the Village Police.

• Water Department Utilities

  Operates the Village Municipal Water System from the Water Treatment Facility on Waterworks Road. Every home or business on the system must have an operational water meter; meters are read electronically. Residents can request a meter accuracy test through the Village Clerk's Office.
