  Public library at 333 S. 1st Street; Monday - Thursday 8:30 am - 5:30 pm, closed Friday-Sunday. Also lists the Cultural Center and 24/7 Fitness Center hours. Governed with a Library Board.

  Bloomfield Fire Department, Main Station at 915 N. 1st Street. The city's page refers visitors to the San Juan County Fire Department website for more information; accepts volunteer firefighters.

• Motor Vehicle Department Transportation

  City-operated walk-in MVD office at 711 Ruth Ln: driver's licenses and IDs (including REAL ID), knowledge exams, VIN inspections, road tests and notary service. Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm; senior citizens and citizens with disabilities hour Tuesday and Thursday 8-9 am.

• Parks and Recreation Parks & Recreation

  Maintains 10 municipal parks and all City buildings and facilities, does weed control, and coordinates use of facilities with youth and adult sports programs; includes the Aquatic Center. 510 W. Sycamore Ave; Monday - Thursday 7:00 am - 5:30 pm.

  Planning and zoning, subdivision review, right-of-way acquisitions, addressing, building permits (first point of contact), long and short-range plans, and land use review. Supports the Planning and Zoning Commission.

  Under the City Engineer/Public Works Director: Municipal Operations Center, Water Treatment, Water Reclamation (wastewater plant), Parks and Recreation and Aquatic Center (26 employees). Streets and right-of-way, signs, weed control, street sweeping and snow, street cut permits, water treatment and distribution, sewage collection, fleet, and capital projects. • Senior Services Human Services

  Bloomfield Senior Citizens Center (since 1978), 124 West Ash: daily congregate and home-bound meals, Encore Senior College classes, activities, field trips, and winter utility assistance for Bloomfield seniors. Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.

  The City of Bloomfield provides water, sewer and trash services.
