Departments

• Agricultural Commissioner's Office

  Regulates agricultural practices, pesticide use, weights and measures, and pest management for Napa County.
• Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk Clerk

  Elected office responsible for property valuation and assessment, recording official documents, vital records, and marriage licenses for Napa County.
• Auditor-Controller

  Elected chief financial officer of Napa County. Maintains county accounts, budgetary controls, property tax allocation, payroll, bond management, internal audits, and accounting services.
• Clerk of the Board Legislative

  Provides administrative support to the Napa County Board of Supervisors, maintains official records, and manages board meeting agendas and minutes.
• County Counsel

  Provides legal services to the County of Napa and other public agencies with focus on integrity, trust, accountability, and stewardship.
• Department of Child Support Services

  Establishes and enforces child support orders, locates parents, and assists families with child support services in Napa County.
• Department of Corrections

  Operates the Napa County jail, manages incarcerated individuals, work furlough programs, and visitation services.
• District Attorney

  Prosecutes criminal cases, provides victim services, and handles consumer and environmental protection for Napa County. Led by elected District Attorney Allison Haley.
• Elections Division

  Administers voter registration, conducts elections, and manages candidate filing for Napa County. Registrar of Voters: John Tuteur.
• Health and Human Services Agency

  Provides public health, behavioral health, social services, and system navigation for Napa County residents. Operates multiple locations including Napa, Calistoga, and American Canyon.
• Housing and Community Services

  Manages housing programs and community development services for Napa County.
• Human Resources

  Provides benefit administration, classification and compensation, employee services, labor relations, training, and recruitment for Napa County.
• Napa County Fire Department Fire

  Provides fire protection services for Napa County through a contract with CAL FIRE. Operates five full-time paid stations and oversees nine volunteer fire companies.
• Napa County Library Library

  Public library system serving Napa County residents.
• Planning, Building and Environmental Services

  Manages land use planning, building permits, code compliance, engineering, conservation, and environmental health for Napa County. Director: Brian D. Bordona.
• Probation Department

  Provides adult and juvenile probation supervision, juvenile detention, and re-entry services for Napa County. Chief Probation Officer: Amanda Gibbs.
• Public Defender

  Provides legal defense services for indigent individuals charged with crimes in Napa County. Public Defender: Kris Keeley.
