• Sarasota County Commission Legislative

  The governing body of Sarasota County under its 1971 Home Rule Charter. Five commissioners are elected by district to staggered four-year terms (max two consecutive terms). The Commission appoints the County Administrator and County Attorney, and each December elects a Chairman and Vice Chairman for the following year.
