• Computer Information Systems Information Technology

  Develops the County's computer information systems policies and procedures: network design and administration, hardware and software purchasing and support, the County's web presence, Internet connections and email, system security and the technology budget. Helpdesk line (603) 351-3865.

• County Treasurer Finance

  Collects the county property tax from municipalities, oversees financial accounts and invests county funds. Residents pay the county portion of property taxes to their city or town, which passes it to the County each December; property taxes are not paid to the County directly.

• Hillsborough County Attorney's Office Legal

  Led by the constitutionally elected County Attorney, the chief law enforcement officer in the County; prosecutes felonies and misdemeanor appeals from the district courts. Northern District office in Manchester (603-627-5605) and Southern District office at the Spring St. Courthouse, 30 Spring Street, Nashua, NH 03060 (603-594-3250). Works with the medical referee in cases of untimely deaths.

• Hillsborough County Department of Corrections Police

  County jail housing male and female inmates awaiting arraignment, pre-trial and/or sentenced; operates under the direction of the Superintendent and the County Board of Commissioners. Public hours Monday to Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

• Hillsborough County Nursing Home Health

  County-owned 300 bed Skilled and Intermediate Care facility in Goffstown, including a 19 bed Behavioral Unit, a 50 bed special needs Alzheimer's Unit and a 24 bed Skilled unit; also offers a contracted Hospice program.

• Hillsborough County Registry of Deeds Clerk

  Led by the Register of Deeds; records legal documents for all real estate in the county (deeds, mortgages, liens, attachments, plans). Holds documents from 1771; searchable online back to 1952. Office hours Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 3:45 pm.

• Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Police

  Led by the elected High Sheriff. Duties include fugitive apprehension and warrants, patrols, prisoner transport and custody for the Superior and Circuit Courts, mental health emergency transport, court security, service of civil process, and a 24-hour Emergency Communications Center (1-800-562-8201 or 603-627-0169).

• Human Resources Human Resources

  Serves approximately 830 County employees: employment administration, recruiting, onboarding, benefit programs, personnel records/HRIS and compliance with personnel policies and employment law.

• Legal Counsel Legal

  Provides legal representation to County elected officials, departments and agents (contracts, leases, RSA 91-A, employment and labor, conditions of confinement, Medicaid compliance and more), and appears for the County before state and federal courts and administrative agencies.

• Office of Administration & Finance Administration

  Centralized accounting office for all County divisions: accounts payable, payroll, insurance and retirement originate here. Maintains annual budget reports for all divisions, approves purchase orders, and provides administrative support to the Board of Commissioners and County Treasurer. Led by the County Administrator.
